BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE INTERN

OVERVIEW:

This role will support the Business Intelligence department in the areas of business and data analysis, CRM, and marketing automation. This individual will proactively maintain a positive, influential reputation with staff and management in demonstrating the importance of data driven information.

 

 

MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Assist with data integrity projects for multiple data sources including CRM, Tableau Extracts, and SQL Server
  • Analyzes marketing data identifying trends and patterns
  • Assist with building statistical models
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards
  • Ad hoc reporting and database queries
  • Fully document work processes and activities
  • All other duties as assigned

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Experience with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics Preferred)
  • Proficiency in one or more Business Intelligence tools (Tableau and\or R a plus)
  • Understanding of enterprise business operations and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with both technical and business minded professionals
  • Ability to work independently

EVENT OPERATIONS INTERN

HOURS: 15-25 HOURS PER WEEK, FLEXIBLE

OVERVIEW:

The Event Operations Internship provides the opportunity for a student to learn and assist with various event operations tasks, and be involved with all aspects of sporting and special events occurring at the Pepsi Center.


MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support arena operations management in the planning and preparation of events.

· Assist with research and implementation of events and operations initiatives.

· Shadow event directors and other arena operations departments during events.

· Attend Arena Operations and Event meetings.

· Plan, organize and manage a selected event during the semester.

· Assist with various projects as assigned.

· Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word Processing, Excel, Outlook and Publisher

· Ability to provide workers’ compensation and general liability insurance from the university sponsoring internship experience

· Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple departments and multiple companies

· Strong professional presence

· Willingness to learn and contribute to team goals

· Ability to work independently

· Available to work some nights and weekends

MEDIA RELATIONS/COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

OVERVIEW:

The Communications/Media Relations Internship provides an opportunity to learn and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Colorado Avalanche Communications department, as well as work with the hockey operations staff. This internship position will specifically focus on the topic of media relations, team website and team operations.

 

MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Assists in the daily production and distribution of the press clippings and gathering all Colorado Avalanche/NHL stories from local, national and international news services.

·         Assists in the distribution of the Colorado Avalanche media/photo credentials for all home games.

·         Assists in the set-up of the Pepsi Center press box for all home games.

·         Assists in day-to-day content of the Avalanche’s official website. Duties include writing, gathering audio and shooting video.

·         Assists in writing and editing for the Avalanche’s official game program.

·         Helps with coordination of press conferences and team events.

·         Provides general support for the hockey operations staff, including executives, coaches and scouts.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment with media, players, coaches and multiple departments.

OVERVIEW:

The Venue Marketing Internship provides an opportunity to learn and assist with various event marketing and promotion initiatives for Pepsi Center, Paramount Theatre, and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Interns will participate in day-to-day operations of the Booking and Box Office departments. This position will focus on branding, advertising, promotional campaigns, tickets sales, and more for concert and family events. The ideal intern should have strong knowledge of social media platforms, and be available some nights and weekends.


MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct research and create presentations for social media and other marketing initiatives
  • Plan social media campaigns to strengthen online presence and provide sufficient data capture
  • Oversee internal venue asset inventory list for concert and family events
  • Direct various consumer giveaways/promotions
  • Shadow Manager during events in a marketing/publicity capacity and other Arena Operations departments
  • Assist with marketing buys and settlement backup spreadsheets
  • Attend weekly Arena Operations and Event meetings
  • Manage sales and data tracking; analyze information to present findings
  • Execute specific projects and promotions as assigned
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
