Kroenke Sports & Entertainment is the home of the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Colorado Mammoth (NLL), Colorado Rapids (MLS), and NDP Lacrosse. We also manage the day-to-day operations of Pepsi Center, Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Paramount Theatre, and 1STBANK Center. OVERVIEW:
The Community Relations and Fan Development Internship provides an opportunity for a student to learn and assist with various events and community activities for the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids and Colorado Mammoth. This internship position will specifically focus on the school appearances, fundraising events, sports clinics and game night activities.
 
MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITES:
· Assist the Community Relations department in partnership with the various leagues to execute and plan league initiatives and community events.
· Attend and participate in meetings with various company departments including Game Entertainment, Ticket Sales, and Event Operations.
· Execute specific projects as assigned with the ability of working independently and efficiently.
· Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
· Ability to provide workers’ compensation and general liability insurance from the university sponsoring internship experience.
· Ability to work in face paced environment with multiple departments and multiple companies.
· Ability to work independently.
· Willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.
· Strong professional presence.
· Ability to work nights and weekends.
· Ability to travel to various sites for specific promotions and events on an as-needed basis.
Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company
vehicle driving standards preferred

DESCRIPTION

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment is the home of Pepsi Center, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth. KSE also owns Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Colorado Rapids and other venues. At KSE, it is our goal to provide internships that are rewarding, both academically and professionally. The Corporate Partnerships Sales and Service department is responsible for bringing in new sponsors and retaining current clients of the properties that are housed in the Pepsi Center.

OBJECTIVE

To teach students what goes into a successful relationship with corporate sponsors of the Pepsi Center, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth and Colorado Rapids. This will be done through research, in-market and in-game promotions, special events, marketing, game day operations and outstanding client service.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPECTATIONS

 Work all assigned game office hours and game nights.

MINIMUM INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES (changes seasonally)

  • Direct Pepsi Center All-Access tours
  • Direct various consumer giveaway/promotions
  • Assist in setting up VIP Nights for sponsor events
  • Assist with planning and implementing corporate sponsor events
  • Assist Game Operations with entertainment and game night events
  • Compile element books for account executives to use when presenting to current and prospective sponsors
  • Assist the account teams in creating recaps to show sponsors what they received in their package the previous season
  • Assist the account teams in compiling mid-season recaps
  • Research sponsors and prospective clients
  • Put together proposals for account teams to use for prospective clients

INTERN OPPORTUNITIES

  • Sit in and participate in meetings with various clients
  • Meet or shadow with other departments of KSE (Game Operations, Marketing, Ticket Sales, Event Management, Community Relations, Box Office, IT or Human Resources)
  • Work and attend Avalanche, Nuggets and Mammoth games
