EVENT PRESENTATION MANAGER, COLORADO RAPIDS

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the look and feel of the Colorado Rapids event experiences, including game day and grassroots.
  • Assists the Rapids Marketing Director to develop strategy and implementation of grassroots efforts and calendar (i.e. Street Team)
  • Manages Rapids team and team-related events and activities (In-Game Entertainment, Street Team, etc)
  • Direct all operations including cameras technical director, graphics/video operators, music, lighting/ spot ops, sound, fascia/matrix op, game promotion coordinators, etc.
  • Directs every aspect of game presentations to ensure proper timing, organization, and desired effects pertaining to league mandates, team requirements, and sponsorship agreements. Works closely with public address announcer, game clock operators and officials.
  • Produces public addresses and timing game scripts for all Rapids games. Game scripts include pre-game team and sponsor features, team introductions and announcements, game sponsor reads/promotions and all game entertainment elements
  • Supervises all entertainment staff for Rapids Street Team and home games
  • Book entertainment and talent as needed for Rapids events and games
  • Produces all videos; assist with video edits to ensure timing and desired image are achieved
  • Directs and assists production of fan interactive features, highlight video, game operation and sponsorship graphics
  • Books and manages entertainment for pre-game, intermissions, and halftimes for all home games
  • Assists in-game ceremonies, special presentations and annual community/fund raising events i.e., Cheers to the Rapids, Charity Golf Classic, World Cup of Wine and Beer, etc.
  • Works closely with MLS representatives to ensure success of the events.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and directive skills. Ability to make quick and efficient decisions in a seconds notice.
  • Proficient writing and presentation skills, scripts, storyboards, timing sheets.
  • Experience in video staging, production/editing techniques, and event/live performance coordination and production.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Minimum of two years experience in professional sports team game entertainment, video production or closely related functions, to include at least one year in video and live production, staging, and special effects and direct supervision of other(s).
  • Minimum of one year experience directing live game entertainment.

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education in marketing, broadcasting, public relations or related field desired

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Inside Sales Manager’s responsibilities include maximizing revenues for the Colorado Rapids by leading and managing the Inside Sales Department.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruitment, interviewing, hiring, coaching and training all members of the Inside Sales Team on a daily basis.
  • Monitor the weekly status of the Inside Sales Team by measuring productivity and results.
  • Enhance the tele-sales presentation and in-park appointment presentation skills of staff by ongoing coaching and supervision.
  • Assist Inside Sales Staff with closing techniques/skills and account management to ensure the highest results.
  • Assist with establishing goal and incentive programs for the Inside Sales Staff.
  • Conduct daily sales meetings with inside sales staff to review activity and goals plus communicate updates on pending projects and events.
  • Review and communicate market analyses to determine customer needs and product interests throughout the annual sales campaign for the Colorado Rapids.
  • Responsible for assisting with customer problems and /or complaints as they relate to sales made by the Inside Sales Staff.
  • Assist with representing the organization at local business and group association meetings to promote the team and related products.
  • Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies for the Colorado Rapids Season, Partial Plan, Group and Individual Ticket Packages.
  • Assist in serving as a liaison with other organizational departments.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree required
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
  • 2 to 3 years of successful sales/management experience in promoting a variety of ticket/membership packages in a team, arena or membership environment.
  • Proven sales professional with business or business sales experience
  • Daily use of TicketHorse and Back Office software as well as Excel and Power Point
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Commitment to the sports industry
