GENERAL PURPOSE
Develops and oversees the safety policies and procedures of KSE Colorado companies and locations. Ensures all locations and venues are in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations related to employee safety.  Performs periodic safety audits at each location and venue.  Provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety orientations, in-person and on-line safety training, PPE, SDS, Hazard Communication, and the use of personal protective equipment.  Collects data and analyzes the causes of injuries and generates required and requested reporting. Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent employee accidents and injuries.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assigns employee safety training in compliance with local and state workplace safety rules, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. 
  • Determines the need to train employees in fire prevention, CPR/AED, First Aid, and other non-regulated safety courses.
  • Responsible for teaching certain workplace safety related classes for company personnel, including but not limited to forklift training.
  • Works with department heads to ensure all employees have proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with each job description.
  • In conjunction with department heads, provides information, i.e., signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety, risk and incident hazards, and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
  • Safety Committee leader; holds regular Safety Committee meetings.  Follows up for implementation/resolution of safety issues or concerns.
  • Manages and maintains SDS and hazard communication program in conjunction with the Engineering department.
  • Perform safety audit inspections with internal departments.  Documents and tracks corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. 
  • Prepare studies and analysis of injury causes and health hazards for use by company personnel and outside agencies when requested. 
  • Develop, implement, and update all safety programs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) is now hiring for multiple full-time Security Agents within the 24-Hour Security Department. This position is responsible for property security and the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon arena event schedule, so the ability to work flexible hours is mandatory. 

MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for facility security: Access Control, CCTV monitoring, patrolling of KSE properties to include parking lots, traffic control, incident response, safety and emergency procedure response.
  • Patrols Pepsi Center Campus, Paramount Theater and KSE Imprints; reports all safety and/or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Provides access control for the facility through post requirements and building access control system.
  • Monitors Closed Circuit Camera system and Weather applications; reports all safety and/or Security concerns to appropriate personnel. Activates weather protocols. 
  • Performs emergency response to fire alarms, evacuations, and other situations; is trained on and maintains proficiency regarding emergency response.

  • Collaborates with KSE service partners to lead the MMP (Memorable Moments Program) with the goal of enhancing fan experience at the Pepsi Center.
  • Assist in aligning the Memorable Moments program with NBA ELEVATE Arena Experience Guidelines to achieve desired fan experience results 
  • Work events to develop effective connections between Partner front line staff in delivering Memorable Moments Service.

  • Assist in the implementation of fan experience shop program to ensure compliance of goals and delivery of exceptional service

·         Investigates, reports, and provides follow-up on incidents including, but not limited to, building damage, criminal activity and policy/procedure violations.

·         Handles complaints, disturbances or related problems with the public, staff or promoters.

·         Provides logistical support of vehicles and freight for multiple vendors and events.

·         Provides customer service to guests and employees of the facility.

·         Provides initial investigation and documentation regarding incidents including building damage or injury to patrons or employees.

·         Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

·         High school diploma or GED.

·         One to two years security operations, preferably in a large arena or sports facility.

·         Ability to establish and maintain efficient working relationships with lessees, employees, patrons, and support organizations.

·         Ability to exercise proper action and attitude in handling incidents and demands of the entertainment environment.

·         Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing.

·         Knowledge of general security functions and arena facility operations highly preferred.

·         Knowledge of CCTV and Access control systems.

·         Ability to read, understand and interpret written and verbal instructions and reports.

·         Ability to work a varied schedule to include any shift (day, swing or grave), holidays, weekends and evenings/nights as needed at all KSE operated venues.
