Nugget/Av for a Day
For the seventh consecutive year, the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche are proud to announce the Nugget for a Day and the Av for a Day programs sponsored by The Children’s Hospital and Conoco.
These programs are open to
middle school students throughout the state of Colorado who are “quality kids,” but are frequently overlooked because they are not extraordinary in any particular endeavor. Both programs recognize students who are well-rounded representatives of your school and community. All nominees must demonstrate the following:
- Solid academic achievement (at least a “C” average, supported by an official transcript)
- Good behavior
- Positive attitude
- Good citizenship
- Community involvement (i.e. tutoring, community service projects, volunteer work or a unique home situation such as caring for younger siblings or grandparents, etc.)
The winners will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience of what a day in the life of a Nuggets or Avalanche player is really like. Each winner will have the opportunity to:
- Attend a Nuggets or Avs practice
- Receive team merchandise
- Receive a behind-the-scenes tour of Pepsi Center
- Enjoy a pre-game meal in the catered Conoco suite
- Receive four game tickets and parking pass
- Receive recognition during the game that he/she attends
